The seven day forecast info that is provided above is generated by an actual person. That seems like a strange statement, right? The dirty little secret of the vast majority of weather apps and weather websites available today is their forecasts are model output statistics (MOS) data. This means the data flows straight from the model source without any human input. The problem is data like this isn’t necessarily designed to be a forecast. Most models are designed to be one tool in the expansive toolboxes of meteorologists. No one model ever is 100% correct. Not one. Same thing with any meteorologist… If any meteorologists claims a 100% accuracy rate, move on and away from this person. Quickly. The science and the knowledge behind modern meteorology as we know it today are continually getting better, but we still have so much work to do and so much progress still to be made.
